CARGO COMMANDER’S “DOWN THE DRAIN” AVAILABLE FREE FOR A LIMITED TIME By DTJohn on December 3, 2012 LATEST NEWS 0 DIGITAL TRIBE ALONG WITH DOPPLER SOUND AND GREENHILL STUDIOS ARE OFFERING THE SONG “DOWN THE DRAIN” FOR FREE OVER THE HOLIDAYS AS A THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS THAT HAVE SUPPORTED SERIOUS BREW’S FIRST GAME. Everyone who plays Cargo Commander is affected by the hauntingly sweet bluegrass song that plays over the home base intercom. Its lyrics echo the sense of melancholy that you feel when reading e-mails from your family as you are stuck alone out in space. It then becomes a beacon and incites hope as you hold your breath scrambling through the cold dark vastness trying to get into the safety of work. As the wormholes devour everything nearby, that song wraps around you like a warm blanket letting you know you are safe. It’s simple. It’s catchy. It’s infectious. And now, the in-game radio version of the song is free to all who want it! This is a limited time offer and will end on January 4th 2013. The song “Down the Drain” was written and performed by Misha Velthuis and produced by Doppler Sound who also crafted the entire sound design of Cargo Commander. Their talent brought new life to every stressed metal beam, every mutant’s growl and every blast of the Fistcannon™ constructed by Serious Brew. Cargo Commander was developed by Dutch two man indie powerhouse Serious Brew and is available now on Steam for Mac and PC.
